If having a blog was outlawed, then all outlaws would be bloggers. a fallacy?

Everything that keeps me together is falling apart

I dont like catholics. the way they treat funerals for someone who committed suicide is despicable. Wholly impersonal.they conned me into communion, i dont need to emphasize the irony in that. i dont like it. i have some more thoughts but those thoughts arent going onto the public domain in any format, ever. a legacy is a funny thing. out of one's control and wholly inescapable. the people who say 'we'll never forget you' are the very first to scrub the memories. everyone deals with grief differently, but i think the most common way is to forget, as with anything. ' if we can forget, then it as if it never happened. ' they think there is peace in that. there is no such thing as a good memory. no such thing as a bad memory. its all existence anyway. i dont know what im talking about and i dont really care. completely sober, mind, which is perhaps not a good thing.

We're all looking at a different picture through this new frame of mind

and for ps i love you.

just finished it so ill zip through a few things while they are on my mind.

Why is it that it american romance/dramedies the protagonists, when typically poor, or at least struggling, are not at all that. cliche answer-we lika the stuff.

A bipolar movie, or i over-analysed, or im bipolar. two of the three at least.

An irishman played by a glaswegian, an american played by a englishman, and an irishman playing an american.

agree with the eliot worrying. it happened more than once. hypocritical it was at times in general. all we have is an end, all we have is love, all we have is the past/passed, shoes. dont like it one bit. its a complete logical fallacy i think, as opposed to a partial logical fallacy? sounded good at the time....

her friends were utterly and fully annoying.

novel written by bertie's daughter. weird trivia bit of no consequence.

first sequence had my hopes very high. godardian/allenian/williamsian/ perfect, but as all american dramedies go, the plot inevitably follows a paved road thereafter.

i dont think i like harry connick jr. ever.

and now to return to irmo for the first funeral of a friend.

and im still laughing at john terry, the slag. look at the video where tevez got his yellow, terry clearly snots on tevez's neck. england captain everyone. (former)

le scaphandre et le papillon

i like julian schnabel

David Miliband's dad was marxist, and now he is new, new labour. interesting.

J. Franzen is top.

From:
why bother?
The language of literary works gives forth something different with each reading. But unpredictability does not mean total relativism. Instead, it highlights the persistence with which writers keep coming back to fundamental problems, family vs country, wife vs girlfriend. being alive vs being dead.

I
Could have quoted the whole essay, but thats just not feasible.

We write because there is no exit, no escape from the human enterprise(s) that surround us. Those who read and write (a distinct trait) have a unique sense of community foreign to those not bonded. The text is our community, our favored mode of communication. As a result of today's 'digital age' where communication is impersonal, splintered and, I would say, largely superficial, those who still adhere to the text are resigned as "intelligentsia", of course negatively connotated. The title we with 'textuals' should never accept.

Theres more to be said with this but i'm quite hungry at the moment. to eat, that is.

John did not disappear completely (but he wishes)

Hello hello. im back. miss me? didnt think so. Tonight i feel compelled to write here less than i feel compelled to read colin greenwood's wifes poetry (an american, no less). both are quite lucky to have each other, the intelligensia them... Rockstars who marry intellectuals,,, get the fuck out. They aren't really rockstars are they then. Or are They are the new breed of rockstar. The third wave of the rockstar. The penultimate rockstar. hahhahahaha jk, huntington, back in the closet. not my closet though, the closet of my idiot neighbor who plays star wars quite loud. Can he really be blamed though, after being tortured by 5 days of live radiohead... I would relish, but he i am not. While on the topic of radiohead, (the topic we never left and will not do for the duration of this blog if I can control myself,) i've begun to write a micro-thesis. kind of a reversal of death of the author. It'll be a deconstructive approach to something like "what do radiohead want me to do?" Save the world, save myself, kill myself, kill bad people, float down the river liffe on hallucinogenics, etc. Drawing from lyrics, interviews etc. Hermetic they are. At any rate, it will keep me occupied on an otherwise drab summer and perhaps provide me with some direction, following the lead of musicians? Where do you make the false distinction. How has musical communication gotten 'stigmatized.' i have some ideas. elvis presley (the worried parent hypothesis), most music is shit (the shit hypothesis) and another one that zizek said that i cant remember (the forgotten zizek sociomusic hypothesis) worrying. so now for the main event, the esoteric concert reviews.

ATL
Becareful the company you keep, because concepts of time are clearly not universal.
The roads in atlanta are not as confusing as the backlots for an upcoming film on Grozny.
Angus andrew still might scare me some
and there they are. The advantage to being off to the side is you cant see anything but Ed and the lights dont make sense. Ed is ricky martin, its well known. and when radiohead break, which im well sure they never will (cue 'optimistic'), i will be in his band. why is he so underrated? more vocal stamina than thom. More solid than jonny, obviously lacks his technical ability though. anyway, ed is dead sexy would be the lesson from atl. why didnt it rain more? why do idiots fancy radiohead? Am I an idiot? I would say not, for the sole reason that I like radiohead.
Night 1 was mroe about going to something you want to see with people you dont necessarily like and living to tell about it. Who ever said the first time was the best time. Certainly the most surreal, but by no means always the best. The first time lets you shake the 'being in awe' factor. for me anyway. i dont have my fancy setlist notes with me at the moment so i cant be bothered to write whatever went on that. plus thats all well known.

Char
Wheelchair man at the merch table. dont forget it. ill look for him at lolla.

Did you know the most sophisticated LED light set ever built gives off vast amounts of heat? I didnt either, because it doesnt, except for the transcendental heat that melts your brain off. this is not the same band as last night. Music isnt just noise then is it, or not the experience of it at least. Thats probably because the human race is devolving rapidly. I might not have any proof of this except for the people who tend to associate with me against my will. pause for effect. I hate when people perceive that you have idiosyncratic tendencies. yes this is a setlist that im keeping. Why? because im not going to remember it tomorrow, is that so much to ask? apparently, because youre drunk and smoking the cheapest weed i've ever smelled. youre 40 years old, grow out of it or move on to coke. those are your options. you might be a failure otherwise. the ultimate stage demeanor would have to be colin. Why yes, i think ill grab this tambourine and start improving. I think now would be a good time to walk towards ed and shake my hands out. Was i just jumping in place? jonny rapes and takes top pictures, though not consecutively, the asian dub sounding bit on bangers n mash, love it. thom is thom its well known. phil sometimes does somethings but tends to just do things in time, which is good, right burial are the jam. make me want to do something very fast or very slow through a city whose sole/soul colours are black and white. colours means london.

John's current cosmology/outlook.

mccain will win.-sucks
more earthquakes will happen.-sucks
american colleges will rely on js mill and kant. -cop out
-these arent important. cosmological hierarchy?? shit.
marrying someone, anyone with an eu citizenship.-necessary
work at oxfam.
M.Phil. or MSc geography or anthro or socio stuff.

interruption. listening to the bristow concert. thom apologizing in his way for the police turning back 5000 due to flooding in the lots. followed by someone shouting i love you, followed by thom we love you to molly. potentially this molly is colins wife. i care too much. we love knowing these things though. the hidden things. i know some words for what one might call those things but i cant be bothered.

I should have been covert and put more song references in. another time. wednesday can be free association day. ill make some dadaist poems to boot.

I wish it was the sixties
I wish I could be happy
I wish, I wish, I wish that something would happen

"i like radiohead because i cant relate to anyone else."

i didnt say this, someone else did. but i might agree with it, in part, both sections.

now that we have the bland overview bit done, tomorrow ill deconstruct charlotte and post song by song. apparently my it girl rag doll assures me atlanta will be available shortly. that reference may need to be googled. when it becomes available i will bring it down to earth too, because honestly, at this point i remember fuck all about it. other than thom making a reference on house of cards.

this is fucking long, sorry.
