Several things of dis(interest)
Dr. K. Smith-spoken con forza
"...you see, this is the reason people become weird existentialist types-where they sit down in French cafes, wear hats, smoke cigarettes and clamor about 'meaning is nothing, meaning is nothing...'

something for you to look forward to
lets think on something.
2 sexes/
1 sex/
0 sexes
?
a few things with this.
on language- -es -{} -es
on numerology-diminishing returns?
on phenomenology-maybe i dont like hegel anymore
on genealogy-very important. the history of sexuality is not 'the history of sexuality' as foucault said it
combination-a matter to study
prompt-what is it really?
read mulvey-> what if she was male?
listening to-elliott smith ' xo'
reading-'what is the what'
watching-'shooting dogs'
on the 'global system' (american)-
if the premise is there is no center-
there are 'heads' (G8,security council, World Bank, God, multi-national corporations, cartels, mafias,) --the state is not mentioned as an independent entity
'heads'-illusions of such?
the implication-we forget about Athens when presented with Rome. (the decline of the aforementioned)

freedom
freedom has no existence in the real. it is merely a state of mind---and a diluted/deluded one at that.
And so it is.....
THE OSCARS
oh the pomp and circumstance, the fancy dresses, the hollywood romance, the camera flashes and red carpet. who is wearing who. who is doing who. im not the one to romanticize it, so i wont.
at any rate
here be predictions.
BEST PIC
what will win-no country for old men-- i loved it. javier bardem turns another in. tommy lee is tommy lee. and josh brolin hasnt gotten the credit
what i want to win-atonement-Ian McEwan is why. joe wright is how, and keira is stunning.
DIRECTOR
willand want-Coens. enough said.
Actor
will and want-DD-Lewis-no other person for that role.
Actress
will-julie christie-never saw it but everyone seems to think so. so ill go with them
want-Cotillard-good job in weak field.
Supporting actor-
will/want-javier bardem-anton scared me. alot.
supporting actress
will/want-cate-my god. first shots of her walking onstage at newport folk made my hairs stand up. i wasnt the only one for which that happened.
all i have time for right now. the rest to come mayhaps.
ive never really fancied the usage of whom. im phasing it out.
Great Dane
'Every human being is tried this way in the active service of expectancy. Now comes the fulfillment and relieves him, but soon he is again placed on reconnaissance for expectancy; then he is again relieved, but as long as there is any future for him, he has not yet finished his service. And while human life goes on this way in very diverse expectancy, expecting very different things according to different times and occasions and in different frames of mind, all life is again one nightwatch of expectancy.'
'I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situations — one can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this: do it or do not do it — you will regret both.'
~kierkegaard
and thus my podcast goes.

Bill Nighy. That gangly thespian from caterham, surrey.
He is perhaps best known to international film audiences for his roles in Love Actually, Underworld and Pirates of the Caribbean.
He has starred in many radio and television dramas
Nighy's two most acclaimed stage performances were in National Theatre productions. Taking the leading male role in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia (1993), he played an unscrupulous university don in witty exchanges his famous ironic 'snicker' much in evidence;
He also appeared in the comedy Shaun of the Dead.
Nighy is the partner of actress Diana Quick. They have one daughter, Mary (born 1984). He is a supporter of Crystal Palace Football Club
Those of you who derive your knowledge solely and explicitly from wikipedia have no place in my life. goodbye.

On the topic of women singers. here are the ones ive thought of/discussed in the past hours. and im not feeling too incredibly talkative tonight.
Kate nash-idealistic notion of the woman type.
yael naim-french hebrew type. fits the role well.
nina simone-sinnerman. so good.
grace potter-vermont's finest. shes a bit beast though.
netrebko-ehh. annoying as fuck in interviews. decent enough when shes with villazon.
nico-i do like all tomorrows parties. ...
one of the tabs dangling above my post says "moderate comments" do they mean as a verb or an adjective. In such a case, please keep your comments moderate for both of our sakes.

Shit
I have a blog now, for no reason (how could you believe that) and I am about to reconsider this (you can believe) or at bare minimum find another medium (again, believable). Why? because this one doesnt have helvetica (too true). You cant even live in a glasshouse without helvetica (ed-you might still can). its like fucking water (its nothing like water), man (or woman, were all egalitarian here). theres also a blog site where you can put the music/books youre currently in to. Michael E. De. is hereby blamed for picking a shitty blog site.
